What happens to our aircraft during temporary hibernation?

To keep the aircraft safe, Long Term Parking procedures are activated as prescribed by the aircraft manufacturer. This includes covering any cavities or exposed equipment of the aircraft to protect it against elements such as dust, insects, birds or any other foreign objects that might damage the aircraft system. This time-lapse video was recorded by one of our AirAsia Allstar engineers and reveals the sheer amount of work (and hours) that goes into hibernating our massive aircraft fleet.
